Due to continued growth our Design Management Team in Glasgow, has a new opportunity for a Junior BIM / Information Manager , who will be working closely with Project Teams and supporting the organisation wide digital strategy with the view to implement any BIM processes & methodologies as well as any related technologies that fall out of these strategies at project level under the guidance of a more senior Manager.
It is an exciting time for our BIM / Information Management function within Design Management Team at AECOM, with an interesting and expanding pipeline of projects within the EMEA region.
Support BIM implementation & BIM management during Design, Construction and Handover (level of involvement varies on a project by project basis)
Support with establishing and implementing BIM / Information Management Procedures
Support with managing Information Exchanges
Support with managing BIM workflows and Monitor/Control Progress
Liaise with Clients, Project Managers, Designers & Contractors throughout the project lifecycle
Manage and coordinate sensitive and confidential information in an appropriate manner
Understand and ensure any changes in procedures & standards are effectively communicated to the Project teams
Support Design Management (DM) Team with bidding opportunities
Working knowledge of BS/PAS1192 & BS EN ISO 19650
Assist with preparation of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), TIDP, MPDT, MIDP, Responsibility Matrixes in response to Information Requirements (IR)
Support with carrying out Audit reviews of BIM Execution Plans (BEP), TIDP, MPDT, MIDP and checking the compliance against project specific AIR, OIR, PIR and EIR
Support with carrying out BIM Model Audit reviews of multidisciplinary Revit models for BIM Stage 2 compliance and in alignment to AIR, PIR and EIR
Support with validation of COBie Information Exchanges against the Information Delivery Plan
Multidisciplinary Model federation (Navisworks Manage or Solibri etc.)
Support compliance check with regards to Level of Information need and data verification
Support with carrying out structured Navisworks Clash detection analysis and providing clash report outputs to the project/task teams including Issue Tracking (BIM 360, BIM Collab & BCF etc.)
Support with managing CDE (BIM 360 Suite, ProjectWise & Viewpoint 4Projects etc.)
Understand CDE workflows and QA (File Naming conventions, Phases, Status codes, Revision codes & any project specific metadata etc.)
Assess capability & training needs and proactively implement training and support when required
Proficient in using BIM tools, which includes Revit & Navisworks etc. to provide support as required to the Project teams
You will have construction or consultancy background and be hungry to grow your career
Ideally relevant Industry experience
Working knowledge of BS/PAS1192 & BS EN ISO 19650
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency in Navisworks & Revit
Experience of ProjectWise or BIM 360 suite
Construction related Degree or proven Industry relevant experience and a working knowledge of Design & Construction
Understanding of Information Security
Ability to obtain Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) and/or Security Clearance (SC)
Good technical ability & presentation
Ability to work under pressure and to timescales
Willingness to learn to lead & manage teams
