We are recruiting for a Consultant in Business Change & Transformation to join AECOM’s Strategy+ (S+) team in the UK and Ireland.

S+ is AECOM’s Management Consultancy arm. S+ assists clients to make sense of complexity, articulate their challenges and deliver solutions that improve performance. Here’s what you’ll do:

The Consultant works on client projects, conducting research, analysis, and developing solutions. They support senior consultants or clients in project execution, contributing to the overall success of the projects that may be any stage of change or transformation. The Consultant is responsible for gathering and analyzing data, preparing reports, and presenting findings to clients. They also collaborate with other team members to develop and implement strategic recommendations. The Consultant plays a key role in identifying client needs, developing solutions, and ensuring successful project outcomes. They are also involved in the development of best practices and methodologies within the consultancy.

Qualifications

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Workshop Facilitation: Experienced in facilitating workshops for midsize project groups (20 people). Responsible for leading meetings, workshops, and events using various techniques and tools to engage participants and ensure success.

  • Infrastructure Experience: Experience working in infrastructure projects, programs, or with infrastructure organizations is a plus.

  • Change Management Awareness: Awareness or certification in change management methodologies (e.g., APMG, Proci, or similar).

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Excellent people skills for engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders.

  • Collaborative Environment Experience: Proven experience in complex, multidisciplinary collaborative environments.

  • Team Effectiveness: Skilled in helping groups work more effectively and efficiently. This includes establishing goals, developing team culture, enhancing governance, developing plans, and making decisions.

  • Consulting Experience: Proven experience in a consulting capacity, developing strong stakeholder relationships.

  • Problem-Solving Initiative: Demonstrates initiative and a desire for dealing with complex problems, particularly in helping teams navigate difficult conversations.

  • Client Listening: Ability to listen to clients, understand their requirements, and relate them to AECOM services.

  • Flexibility: Willingness to work away from the office to meet client or business demands.

  • Location and Travel: Based in the UK with the ability to travel regularly to other locations across the UK, Europe, and further afield as required.
