Job Summary

AECOM are excited to be partnering with Women Returners again to run our 2020 Returner programme, now in its successful third year. Open to applicants of any gender, AECOM are looking for individuals who have taken a career break of 2 years or more and are looking to get back into the workplace with our structured and supportive programme.

AECOM’s UK Civil Infrastructure business is made up of our Roads (Traffic & Highways); Rail, Bridges and Structures; Consulting Services (Transport Planning, Development and Aviation); and Water, Ports and Power.

Roads Team

  • Traffic Engineer - St Albans, Birmingham, Nottingham, Bristol, Manchester and Leeds

  • Highways Engineers – Bedford, Chesterfield, St Albans, Birmingham, Nottingham, Bristol, Manchester and Newcastle

Consulting Team

  • Transport Planners, Development Planners and Transport Modellers – All AECOM office considered, including, Dublin, Cork, Belfast , Edinburgh, Glasgow, Altrincham , Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Chesterfield , Birmingham , Telford, Cardiff , London, Basingstoke , Croydon, St Albans, Chelmsford , Bristol, Exeter and Norwich

  • Aviation Engineers and Planners – Dublin, Birmingham or Telford

Rail, Bridges & Structures Team

  • Bridge Engineers – Birmingham, Bristol, Chesterfield, Croydon, Dublin, Glasgow, Leeds and Newcastle

  • Electrical Engineers - Birmingham, Croydon, Glasgow, Manchester, Swindon and York

  • Civil Engineers - Birmingham, Bristol, Croydon, Glasgow, Manchester, Swindon and York.

  • Rail Project Managers - Birmingham, Glasgow, London, Swindon and York

  • Assistant Signal Designer - Swindon (experience not required)

Water, Ports & Power Team

  • Civil/Structural Engineer – Warrington

  • Renewables Engineer - Edinburgh

  • Flood Risk Engineer - Edinburgh

  • Civil Engineers – Dublin

  • Tunnelling Engineers – Croydon or Birmingham

  • Ports Engineer - Glasgow
