Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated disaster management specialist for employment in the Germantown, MD office.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Deployed to disaster field office after a major disaster

  • Conduct data collection and analysis

  • Support hazard mitigation and resilience strategies

  • Support resilience recovery planning

  • Other duties assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience

  • Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software

  • Due to nature of the work U.S Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in urban planning, public administration, emergency management or other related field required

  • Disaster Field Operations

  • GIS expertise is preferred

  • Excellent communications and presentation
