Are you an experienced Structural Engineer who has worked on schemes such as large infrastructure, below ground structures, shafts and retaining walls?
If so, we are looking for an experienced Senior or Principal Structural Engineer to join our Water, Ports and Power structures and heavy civil engineering design team in Exeter.
As Senior/Principal Structural Engineer, you will work under the oversight of the Associate Director and Structures Lead to fulfil the role of structural lead on water and heavy civil engineering projects. This will include involvement in the entire design process from feasibility and outline through to detailed design stages.

Our recently refurbished Exeter office offers spacious workstations, ample meeting rooms, a dedicated client meeting area, a staff break out area with table tennis, two equipped kitchen areas and fresh coffee machines. There are also showers, a drying room and lockers available for those who cycle and run to work.
Technically strong and have experience in the following type of schemes: large infrastructure, below ground structures, shafts and retaining walls.
Ideally you will have water treatment works and wastewater treatment works experience.
A sound understanding of both Structural Eurocodes and British Standards.
Experience of the design process in feasibility, outline and detailed design stages.
A sound understanding of safety, construction and operational requirements within design.
Responsibility for delivering own project work to programme, cost and quality requirements.
Ability to liaise with other design disciplines, clients, contractors and the supply chain.
An accredited degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or have a commensurate mix of experience and qualifications.
You will be either a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer or be working towards a professional qualification with an appropriate Institution.
