AECOM is seeking an Associate Director for the Electrical, Mechanical, and Public Health (MEP) Engineering team in Scotland, based in Glasgow or Edinburgh.
You will be responsible for leading the electrical engineering team in Scotland, delivering MEP on stand-alone and multi-disciplinary projects, and mentoring and coaching team members. The role will also include a client-facing role to sustain and grow new and existing opportunities.
What you’ll do!
Perform various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for the MEP Scotland team and MEP projects to provide MEP input to multi-disciplinary projects
Have full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments, including undertaking AECOM project manager roles for MEP projects.
Plan and develop engineering tasks that are concerned with unique or controversial problems. This involves exploring the subject area, defining the scope, and selecting problems for investigation and development of novel concepts and approaches.
Be responsible for acting independently on technical matters pertaining to the field. Work at this level usually requires extensive progressive experience.
Manage a group of engineers and technicians and coordinate activities of the unit.

Qualifications

Requirements:
MEng / BEng in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
CEng status
Prior electrical project engineering experience within a similar consultancy or other relevant business.
Experience in the healthcare sector, as well as leisure, commercial, and higher education sectors.
Additional Information
You will be expected to travel between Edinburgh and Glasgow to fulfil project and team working requirements.
