Job Description

What your new role will entail;

Our successful Water Engineering team have an exciting opportunity for a Civil Engineer to work across a number of frameworks with various clients across the UK&I.

As an Engineer, you will be supported and encouraged to maintain your CPD and embrace initiatives to help you further develop your own skills and career.

You will be responsible for the following;

  • Working on the production of feasibility studies, including financial and non-financial comparisons.

  • Liaising and collaborating with process, mechanical environmental, planning, geotechnical, structural teams.

  • Assisting in the management of FIDIC / NEC contracts and assist with financial project management including regular invoicing, early warning and change controls.

  • Engaging with energy and renewable teams to develop SUDs and renewable energy solutions for wastewater and water sites.

  • Producing flow and load calculations.

  • Compiling technical notes and reports.

  • Developing AutoCAD design package.

  • Developing outline/detailed wastewater treatment works designs.

Being part of the team;

You will be key to delivering wastewater treatment plant upgrades for Uisce Éireann and Northern Ireland Water.

You will work in our team of engineers, project managers and lead design engineers for a variety of UK & Ireland clients, throughout the project design and delivery cycle, supporting various design stages of water and wastewater utility projects to include carrying out feasibility studies, reference designs, detailed designs and preparation of reports and technical specifications.

You will be part of a core team of around 6x Civil Engineers and a wider team of 30+ of Civil Engineers, Geotechnical Engineers, Modellers, Structural Engineers, Planners, Ecologists and CAD Technicians.

The role will be a flexible working from home and office-based hybrid role.

Qualifications

Here's what we will need from you;

  • Engineering degree qualified.

  • Have some experience in working on the design and management of wastewater infrastructure and non-infrastructure upgrade schemes.

  • Be experienced in compiling reports.

  • Have knowledge of the science of wastewater treatment processes.

  • A conscientious and diligent attitude and approach.
