Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and innovative Technical Director to join our dynamic team in Bukit Damansara, Malaysia. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving technical excellence, innovation, and strategic growth across our organization.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinates and provides technical expertise for mid- to large-scale projects.

  • Establishes and maintains technical client relationships, contributing significantly to business development.

  • Drives the development and enhancement of technical skills within the department.

  • Engages in technical business development activities.

  • Delivers specialized technical guidance in studies and designs based on expertise.

  • Reviews, approves, and signs off on project work.

  • Serves as a leader in one or more technological areas.

  • Develops engineering budgets and schedules to meet the requirements of large, complex projects.

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight for all projects and initiatives within the organization

  • Develop and implement technical strategies aligned with business objectives

  • Lead and mentor a team of technical professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of technical solutions

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, or a related technical field

  • 10+ years of experience in an engineering and / or technical leadership role within the industry

  • Proven track record of successfully leading large-scale technical projects and initiatives

  • Strong understanding of current and emerging technologies relevant to our business

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making

  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences

  • Experience in budget management, resource allocation, and strategic planning

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor technical teams

  • Strong project management skills and experience with various project management methodologies

  • Proficiency in relevant software tools and technologies

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a collaborative and innovative mindset
