Job Description
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Engineer, Electrical to join our team in Bukit Damansara, Malaysia . In this key role, you will lead and oversee structural engineering projects, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction. The right fit for this role will possess multi-disciplinary knowledge of engineering
Duties and Responsibilities
Lead the development of electrical designs, spanning from initial concepts to meticulous detailing.
Take charge of creating design calculations, drawings, specifications, and tender documents for design projects. Additionally, review materials prepared by junior engineers.
Prepare comprehensive design reports, calculations, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and project schedules.
Execute on-site electrical service surveys with precision.
Collaborate with Professional Engineer with Practice Certification (PEPC) in establishing connections, preparing, and following up on Authority Submissions.
Coordinate with local government departments to secure design project approvals.
Foster relationships and coordinate with Clients, Architects, Structural Engineers, Civil Engineers, System Contractors, Civil Contractors, QS professionals, and more to bring electrical building service designs to life, from inception to intricate detailing.
Assume the role of Project Manager, overseeing projects from their conceptual stages to their successful completion.
Provide guidance and supervision to junior engineers.
Assist in the preparation of competitive tenders and bids.
Exhibit and offer your technical expertise.
Qualifications
Possession of either a Masters or a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
A track record of a minimum of 7 to 10 years of design experience, specifically within the context of construction or infrastructure projects, commensurate with relevant expertise.
Preferable Professional Engineer status
Proficiency in CAD software, such as AutoCAD
Proficiency and a strong grasp of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) process, including the ability to execute design projects within a BIM environment, manage information on a shared data platform, establish workflows for MEP modeling, produce sheet drawings, and manage asset data.
Candidates with prior experience in Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) infrastructure projects, such as metro and railways, will be given preference.
Proven experience in executing design and construction projects within a BIM environment, coupled with a comprehensive understanding of BIM tools such as REVIT and CAD.
Proficiency in the use of specialized engineering software, including Dialux, Hevacomp, Ricoda, Amptech/ETAP.
