AECOM is seeking to hire an Early Careers-University Recruitment Program Lead. In this role you will play a pivotal role in identifying, attracting, and hiring top early-career talent from universities across the Americas. This role is integral to building a robust pipeline of diverse, high-potential candidates who align with our company's values, culture, and business goals. This role can be based in any US or Canada location in which AECOM has a presence through an office or project location and will have a travel requirement which may be significant at times during our university recruitment season.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Program Development

  • Help us to design and implement a comprehensive university recruitment strategy aligned with the company’s talent acquisition goals.

  • Help us to build and maintain strong relationships with key academic institutions, including career services, faculty, and student organizations.

  • Help us to manage our university recruiting programs

Campus Engagement & Employer Branding

  • Serve as a leader for AECOM on campuses, fostering brand awareness and engaging with students to promote the company as an employer of choice.

  • Plan, coordinate, and participate in on-campus recruitment events such as career fairs, networking sessions, and information seminars.

  • Develop innovative approaches to engage and attract students, leveraging social media and partnerships with student organizations.

Talent Acquisition

  • Oversee the full-cycle recruitment process for university hires, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates, including helping us to recruit for these roles!

  • Collaborate with business leaders and hiring managers to understand talent needs and ensure alignment with workforce planning initiatives.

  • Utilize data-driven insights to track recruitment metrics and continuously optimize recruitment strategies.

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI)

  • Partner with internal DEI teams to ensure recruitment strategies promote diversity and inclusivity.

  • Develop relationships with underrepresented student groups and participate in initiatives to broaden the candidate pool.

Team Leadership

  • Mentor a team of university recruiters, ensuring their professional development and alignment with organizational objectives.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency in recruitment practices and candidate experience.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Talent Acquisition Specialist IV

  • Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of talent acquisition experience including a minimum of 2 years specific to early career and university recruitment within a large, fast-paced organization.

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment tools.

  • Ability to travel 25% or more to support university or business-related recruiting events.

OR

Talent Acquisition Manager

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8 years of talent acquisition experience including a minimum of 2 years specific to early career and university recruitment within a large, fast-paced organization.

  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment tools.

  • Ability to travel 25% or more to support university or business-related recruiting events.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field.

  • Proven track record of building successful campus recruitment programs.

  • Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

  • Experience in a Fortune 500 company or large corporate environment.

  • Experience supporting professional, engineering and construction management opportunities.

  • Knowledge of early talent trends and university engagement best practices.

  • Familiarity with data analytics and reporting to measure recruitment effectiveness.

  • This position does not include sponsorship opportunities for United States work authorization now or in the future.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,000.00 - $125,000.00.
