Our highways team is regarded across the industry as leaders in technical innovation and specialist knowledge and is why we have fantastic relationships and vast pipelines of work on major highways projects for Clients including Highways England, Welsh Government and Local authorities through to trunk road maintenance schemes across the United Kingdom and Ireland.
We are currently looking to appoint a Project Manager/Director to manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects. Take ownership and responsibility for delivering revenues assigned from specific clients as a result of repeat business caused by flawless execution of projects.
As Project Manager/Director you would be expected to:
Consistently delivers profit margins planned.
Consistently completes project without write-downs or multiplier erosion.
Typically manage projects involving RTF (Risk Triggering Factors).
Manage more complex clients and projects.
Have decision-making authority and directs other Project Managers in recognizing risk and uncertainty with plans to mitigate and eliminate such.
Direct staff to operate and minimize exposure to claims.
Supervise and direct Project Managers with multiple projects or program of projects.
Leadership of complex multidisciplinary Highways projects
Responsibility for Safety, Cost, Time, and Quality
Resource planning and career development
Supply chain management
Performance management and reporting
Risk control and mitigation
Programme development and control
Management of Interdisciplinary interfaces
Relevant Degree – BSc or MSc – ideally inn Civil Engineering/ Project Management or extensive practical experience of leading complex multidisciplinary projects
Professionally Qualified – ideally Chartered Status with the RICS, CIOB, APM or other equivalent institution.
