We are currently expanding our Local Roads Team in Croydon following several major project wins across the UK and Europe. Our Streets team currently has a vacancy for a Principal Engineer - Traffic
Projects:
Our Streets team is involved in a number of high profile projects with a variety of clients in the UK and Middle East. A selection of our current and recent projects includes:
Southwark Highways and Professional Services Contract
Thames Tideway Tunnel
TfL
Greenwich Town Centre
Job Responsibilities:
Act as a Project Manager including monitoring financial performance, programme and quality
Leading traffic engineering design, taking responsibility for the contributions of junior staff
Preparation of fee proposals and contribute to major bids
Support senior management of traffic team including manage line reports
Share knowledge and support team managers in mentoring junior staff
Minimum Requirements
Track record in management and delivery of traffic engineering schemes
Knowledge and experience in cycling design, bus priority, traffic calming, junction and traffic management design
Leading single and multi-disciplinary projects as Project Manager
Knowledge and experience of local and national design standards including, but not limited to, DMRB, TSRGD, Traffic Signs Manual and Manual for Streets
Line management and mentoring staff in the performance of their duties
Preferred Qualifications
BSc, BEng or MEng degree in Engineering, Mathematics or other spatial or numerical subject.
Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartered status with membership of a relevant professional institution.
