Job Description

The Water Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, talented, Civil Engineer , with a focus in water resources and water/wastewater infrastructure, with design and construction engineering experience in municipal projects in Florida. This role within AECOM offers an exciting opportunity to support the Water Resource design teams in South Florida by working with different teams to complete a variety of projects that involve water resources, project design.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning, design, permitting, and construction phase services and will include activities focused on design of municipal stormwater and water resources projects

  • Responsibilities may include overseeing the planning and design of various project elements, the preparation of project reports, hydraulic models, calculations, drawings, construction plans and specifications, permitting packages, and documents for inclusion in the final project deliverables

  • Coordination with clients, sub-consultants, regulatory agencies, and members of the public will be necessary to accomplish assigned objectives

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and 6 years of related experience.

  • Experience in water resources engineering including hydrologic and hydraulic modeling

  • Must be a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida or obtain a Florida PE license within 1 year of hire

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Civil Engineering degree preferred

  • Ability to communicate and coordinate effectively with diverse audience

  • Positive attitude, good aptitude, and strong initiative will integrate well with our existing group of outstanding professionals

  • Experience in construction phase services

  • Proven leadership skills and demonstrated ability to successfully work with diverse teams

  • Demonstrated proven track record of leading technical engineering and successfully managing water and water resources projects

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00.
