Job Description
The Transportation Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented and self-motivated Civil Engineer for immediate employment, in the Colorado Springs, CO office.
Builds analytic and design skills.
Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision to create and deliver work products to clients.
Working within the Highway group on the planning and design of civil engineering projects including local roadways, highways, interstates, multi-modal, utility, and drainage improvements.
Collaborating with design teams consisting of multidiscipline design engineers, technicians, and planners
Working under supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member and assist with tasks including preparing engineering related calculations, drawings, and visual aids
Following quality procedures
Effectively communicating (written and oral) with peers both in person and online
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Bachelors of Science or Bachelor of Arts and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

Preferred Requirements
BS in Civil Engineering
Engineer-in-Training certification or Fundamentals of Engineering (EIT or FE)
Relevant internship or professional work experience in support of transportation design
Experience with OpenRoads Designer, MicroStation, and InRoads software
Strong problem solving and decision making abilities
Strong interpersonal skills
Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $65,000.00 - $80,000.00.
