Logistics Sustainment Support Analyst to provide research, planning and analysis support to U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) at
Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii.
This is a contingent position.
The Logistics Sustainment Support Analyst will support the J4 Deployment and Distribution Operations Center (DDOC) with analysis of deployment and distribution policies, plans, and procedures in order to synchronize inter and intra-theater supply, transportation and personnel resources. This subject matter expert will provide recommendations for operational and strategic sustainability of resources throughout the USINDOPACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) to the USINDOPACOM J4 Director and USINDOPACOM Executive Staff as they relate to current operations, contingency operations, Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) and deliberate operations plans (OPLANS).
Support the synchronization of USINDOPACOM requirements to include inbound/outbound movement of passengers and cargo; the coordination of requirements with theater distribution nodes; and the provision of advanced notice to theater air and surface elements in order to avoid backlogs or delays.
Work with the entire spectrum of global resources and capabilities which requires the candidate to have experience working with U.S. Transportation Command, Air Mobility Command (AMC), U.S. Department of State, PACFLT, PACAF, USARPAC and MARFORPAC.
Provide analysis of theater air, sea, and surface transportation resources by monitoring various in-transit visibility (ITV) systems for key unit line numbers (ULNs), Special Assignment Airlift Missions (SAAMs) and sustainment movements (Transportation Control Numbers) that will provide real-time and predictive analysis of logistics support to current operations, contingency operations, and OPLANS.
Provide recommendations on how to optimize and expedite movements of personnel and resources while identifying gaps in coverage and developing solutions to meet requirements.
Provide unique insights to strategic sustainment operations; Component resources, processes and information systems; airlift availability capacity and movement requirements; Global Force Management (GFM) force flow requirements: as well as Pacific theater plans and exercises.
Provide assistance to senior-level strategic planning and briefings, including preparing formal papers and background information for USPACOM senior leader consumption.
Provide assistance on short timeline responses to specific questions pertaining to PACOM theater resources; research and analyze various pertinent national security policies, military capabilities, and vulnerability assessments; and provide qualitative data to support recommendations.
Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.
Must have a Bachelor's degree.
At least four (4) years of experience in logistics and sustainment operations, including:
At least four (4) years of experience supporting the DoD.
Knowledge of Joint Campaign, Contingency, and Crisis Action Planning procedures.
Familiarity with strategic and campaign plan documents from National Command Authority through Combatant Command and Joint Task Force level. They should be well versed in joint doctrine.
Familiarity with aircraft status reports, personnel inbound/outbound/transload reports, cargo inbound/outbound/transload reports, NEO movement status reports, and sealift status reports.
Familiarity with JOPES, GFM and DMT.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing in order to provide information, articles, written reports, and presentations to include delivering executive summaries to flag and general officers (FO/GO) and Senior Executive Service (SES) level officials.
Experience providing regularly scheduled project plans and status reports.
Demonstrated skill in using integrated software (e.g., MS Office suite and Sharepoint).
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must have an active Secret clearance, including the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
This position may require non-standard work hours to support surge and crisis operations.
Previous experience working TS/SCI level projects desired.
It is highly desired that this candidate has at least three (3) years’ experience working in USINDOPACOM specific topics.
