URS/AECOM has an immediate opening for a
Quality Control Manager in Kuwait.
The Quality Control Manager oversees the program quality assurance and control programs to ensure quality system implementation, compliance, effectiveness, and control. Ensures that the overarching quality conformance, performance, and improvement objectives are defined, monitored, measured, and achieved.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manages a professional team encompassing a wide range of functions within the discipline:
Establishes hiring boards to interview candidates for open positions.
Evaluates staff, comparing objectives and achievements in staff assessments.
Coaches employees in their professional career development and process improvements.
Issues disciplinary or corrective actions when needed.
Recommends termination or contract non-renewal when appropriate.
Responsible for completing Performance Evaluations as required.
Manages the quality assurance and quality control teams to ensure quality system requirements are effectively implemented throughout contract performance.
Manages full range of quality department requirements to include staffing, work assignments, performance management, staff support and development, process monitoring and measurement, and development of appropriate quality documentation.
Acts as the primary point of contact with customer quality assurance and surveillance entities to ensure that customer requirements and expectations are being achieved.
Develops quality system plans to ensure compliance and implementation of ISO 9001:2008 quality standard.
Directly manages customer complaints and works to ensure that effective corrective actions plans are developed and implemented.
Provides periodic status of the quality system to the program management team.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Highschool diploma orequivalentrequired.
10yearsof quality assurance and control management experienceon complex military maintenanceand logistics contractor support programs.
5 yearsofexperienceworking and managing within ISO 9001:2008 Quality Standard quality management systems.
Previoustraining: ISO 9001:2008 Auditor, Lean/Six Sigma.
Demonstrated experience in quality data collection, analysis, and reporting.Capableofdeveloping management level presentationsand reports.
Demonstrated practical experienceinfacilitating Lean Six Sigma process improvement programs.
Must havedemonstratedleadership and management skills, including a professional demeanor.
Requires a collaborative workstylethat fosters cooperation and teamwork.
Must havehigh level of proficiency in the use ofMS Office, including Word,PowerPoint,Exceland Outlook andother related applications.
Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment, withan ability to understand the overall effect ofdecisions for the company.
Must be a U.S. citizen and have a current, valid U.S. passport.
Must have the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
Must be able to favorably complete customer and company background investigation.
Work Environment, Physical Demands and Mental Demands:
Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.
Mustbe able to lift between 25-50lbs.
Mustbe able toworkin extreme environmental conditions includingdust and high temperatures.
Mustbe able toendure long hours, exposuretoweatherandhazardous conditions.
Prefer individual who has worked in a 3rd party certified quality management system.
GreenBelt Certification preferred.
