Job Description

  • AECOM Canada is a Centre of Excellence for the delivery of P3 projects in North America and is participating in every major P3 project in Canada, either as the Owner Engineer or as the Contractor’s Engineer. We are seeking a Project Manager to join our team and take on a central role in the delivery of a major transportation projects in Western Canada.This position is based out of our Calgary office on a hybrid-work basis.The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Supporting the Project Manager and other senior staff to deliver projects to budget, schedule and to AECOM’s quality standards.

  • Independently manage the delivery of a subset of varied project activities.

  • Lead and coordinate project team activities and work effectively with Clients, Contractors, Engineers, Project Managers, and other consultants.

  • Provide clear guidance to designers and technical staff to meet client objectives.

  • Communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing with project team and clients

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or related field

  • 4+ years relevant work experience working directly with contractors and managing multidisciplinary teams.

  • Registered with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (P.Eng.)

Preferred Requirements:

  • 5+ years relevant work experience

  • Proven experience leading a multidisciplinary team thorough all phases of a project delivered under an alternative delivery model.

  • Technical knowledge related to delivery of transit projects.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills

  • Ability to multi-task combined with strong attention to detail, time management and organizational skills.

  • Commercial acumen, with experience managing project budget, schedule, and technical requirements.

  • High level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning

  • Dedicated, with an all-hands-on-deck attitude towards completing the work efficiently and accurately.

Additional Information

  • Sponsorship for Canadian employment authorization is not available for this position.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $92,000.00 - $141,000.00.
