Job Description

AECOM is seeking a talented Engineering Intern to join our team here at the Burnaby, BC office!

This is a 4 month term that will begin in January 2025.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Assist the Project Coordinator with transportation projects .

  • Provide project coordination assistance for design and construction of infrastructure projects to support project managers with ensuring delivery of design deliverables.

  • Support project managers with routine and non-routine tasks.

  • Under supervision, work with 3rd parties and client organizations

  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.

  • Processes documents (including indexing into database and/or enterprise content management system).

  • May serve as a resource to others in the resolution of problems and issues.

  • Typical duties will include:

  • Attend meetings and prepare minutes of meetings.

  • Monitor project costs and budgets.

  • Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports.

  • Set up new projects and track monthly billing.

  • Prepare project schedules and monitor progress of work.

  • Review and compile client submittals

  • Assist with the preparation of technical specifications and bid documents

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must currently be in a relevant Engineering Degree

  • Must have completed two years of study in the relevant Engineering degree

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $26.00/hour - $30.00/hour.
