Job Description

Reporting to the Global Head of Talent Acquisition for AECOM’s Enterprise Capabilities team, the Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for understanding AECOM’s hiring goals and creating effective recruitment strategies executed through a team of recruiters. Balancing both strategic and operational skillsets, the role is responsible for implementing processes and programs that align with the needs of an ever changing, evolving organization. Possessing a collaborative and strategic mindset, this role will ensure a diverse pipeline of talent across the organization, foster collaborative relationships, and understand all compliance related requirements in the regions they support.

Our Enterprise Capabilities organization at AECOM provides technical expertise and delivers high-quality services to our global business lines across AECOM. This role will support our recruitment functions in South Africa, Romania, Spain, and Poland within our Enterprise Capabilities organization.

This role can be based in any of these locations and is a hybrid role with the opportunity to work both in a local office and virtual/telecommute.

Responsibilities include:

  • Engages with leadership to develop and implement innovative strategic plans to address current and future workforce needs. Evaluate the effectiveness of the strategies and make modifications as needed to build successful outcomes.

  • Leads the local Talent Acquisition Team, including oversight of recruitment, stakeholder management, coaching, mentoring and development to align with organizational talent needs.

  • Owns the day-to-day operations and the end-to-end process for recruitment at the regional level and completes regular process improvement assessments and creates buy-in with key cross functional partners and executes where necessary.

  • As needed, manages a requisition load; develops and executes innovative strategies to attract diverse talent for hard-to-fill and senior leadership roles.

  • Leads weekly/bi-weekly review meetings with business leaders and key business partners to provide an overview of recruiting achievements as well as opportunities to improve hiring performance moving forward.

  • Design and utilize proactive sourcing strategies to create experienced and diverse talent pipelines.

  • Work collaboratively across our TA and HR support teams to identify clear hand offs between teams and ensure a positive hiring experience for all those involved in the hiring process both internally and externally.

  • Other projects and duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Marketing, or Business Administration/Management or equivalent experience preferred

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience full cycle recruiting.

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience leading a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven leadership skills, ability to provide timely feedback to develop and build employee skill level.

  • Experience developing and implementing recruiting strategies across multiple business areas.

  • Business acumen with the proven ability to translate business priorities into recruitment strategies.

  • Demonstrated ability to partner across the business at all levels.

  • Comfortable moving extremely fast with the ability to navigate ambiguity and critically think through complex problems.

  • Open and people-centric approach to work and getting things done with the ability to adapt communication style and methods as needed.

  • Experience with ATS such as SmartRecruiters

  • English language skills including written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the architecture/engineering/construction and/or infrastructure industries

  • Experience working in a global organization and supporting multiple regions.

  • Experience managing and coaching direct reports

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, project management, and analytical skills.

  • Flexible work-style to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and manage last-minute changes.

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-time zone, global environment and ability to manage competing demands

  • Strong understanding of sourcing technology, market trends, and talent strategy
