Job Description

Join our expanding Nuclear Energy Team, contributing to a diverse portfolio of international and UK-based decommissioning and new build projects. We are seeking enthusiastic professionals to play key roles in the team's growth and success. You will have the vision, passion and track record required to continue the growth of our engineering team offering, undertaking a business development role as well as engineering design role. You will be a part of the continued development of a strong and growing team to whom you will provide leadership and robust management. This is an exciting time for the Nuclear Power & Decommissioning team with an interesting and expanding pipeline of nuclear projects.

We offer a hybrid and flexible working approach, working from one of our key sites, Warrington, Whitehaven or Bristol. We can also consider people located in other areas of the North West and East.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaboration on Nuclear design projects for a diverse portfolio of clients.

  • Manage project teams, ensuring technical excellence and timely delivery.

  • Contribute to detailed technical structural/civil engineering designs.

  • Assist and mentor team members for their technical and professional development.

Expectations:

  • Commercial/operational awareness.

  • Understanding of design principles and ability to apply them.

  • Strong ability to communicate effectively.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Support Nuclear Team growth through business development and client relationship building.

  • Able to demonstrate Management of a team or function and in particular within complex or novel project assignments.

  • Flexibility for occasional travel.

  • Ability to meet security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering discipline.

  • Preferable to be a Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.

  • Background in working on highly regulated projects and use of quality-assured systems.

  • Preference of experience in the nuclear sector.

  • Demonstrable expertise with a track record of successful application of specialist knowledge or skills.

  • Ability to provide strategic guidance, leadership, and mentorship to engineering individuals/teams.
