Job Description

We are currently looking for experienced Program Controls specialists to lead program controls on large and highly complex infrastructure programs. We have opportunities in Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sydney/Hunter Valley and Melbourne working on projects in Aviation, Energy, Urban Development, Infrastructure and Water. Successful candidates will play an integral part in our ANZ regional Program Management business line leadership and will contribute to the strategy and direction of Program Management and Controls function.

Here at AECOM, the Program Controls function helps establish the foundations to support the successful execution of some of the largest programs in the region by creating high performance and integrated teams as well as plans, tools, systems and processes for efficient delivery of those programs.

How you’ll make a difference:

  • Manage and coordinate Program Controls for large programs, that are of high strategic value and have the highest level of execution complexity.

  • Provide senior-level oversight for Program Controls activities including leading the coordination efforts across multiple projects within the program, ensuing seamless integration and alignment with the program objectives.

  • Spearhead and implement innovative strategies to streamline processes, enhance collaboration ultimately optimising efficiency and productivity across the program.

  • Use your visionary technical leadership to set the strategic direction for program controls, ensuring alignment with AECOM’s broader business objectives.

  • Provide expert guidance and oversight to project controls teams, ensuring the effective management of individual project elements alongside ensuring concise communication between project teams, stakeholders and senior leadership across the Program.

Qualifications

  • Significant experience of leading program controls on major infrastructure programs with, ideally 15 + years professional experience within a Program Controls Leadership role.

  • Track record of deploying and managing program controls processes, tools, methodologies and decisions on major programs of work.

  • Extensive understanding in all underlying concepts and principles of program controls, paired with extensive experience to provide insights, thought leadership and evolution of the discipline.

  • Demonstrate a high level of technical expertise in establishing, managing and maintaining a robust and realistic baseline; assessing performance, provide meaningful analysis to support the proactive management of the program.

  • Significant experience in leading program controls for major client programs in infrastructure, ideally in the Energy, Water, Aviation, Transport or urban development sectors.

  • A bachelor’s degree (or master’s degree) in relevant field such as Project Management, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
