AECOM is seeking a creative, motivated and ambitious Project Manager for employment in our Nottingham office to support the growth demands of the Rail sector.

We are looking for Project Managers to join the Rail Asset Management team to work on a variety of interesting and challenging projects. You will be joining a growing team of like-minded people that have a passion for innovation and delivering cutting edge solutions. As a Project Manager, you will be expected to work within a team to successfully manage and deliver a wide portfolio of projects ranging from research, consultancy, survey, design etc. The role will also include supporting the delivery of our Managed Service Framework for Network Rail, helping one of our biggest clients deliver and develop research, strategy, initiative development, feasibilities studies etc
This role involves managing our internal technical delivery staff to deliver projects through all stages of the project delivery lifecycle from feasibility studies, option development, outline and detailed design and construction support.
You will be passionate about project management and furthering your career with a leading construction consultancy.
Previous experience in the UK Rail sector is desirable but not essential for this role.
The selected candidate for this position needs to demonstrate competence in the below items:
Ownership of and responsibility for the successful delivery of projects
Managing projects to time, cost and quality
Preparing and maintaining schedules, including dependencies and resources
Identifying and monitoring project risks and opportunities
Quality management processes for project activities and outputs
Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests
Managing teams from across the business
Managing subcontractors
Building strong relationships with clients and members of the cross-functional team
Previous rail sector / project experience
Understanding of National Rail GRIP processes
Proven track record of leading complex, multidisciplinary projects
Understanding and awareness of NEC suite of contracts, particularly the Professional Services Contract (PSC) and Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC)
Experience of working as part of integrated, multi-organisation, collaborative teams
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Strong stakeholder management experience.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Minimum Requirements
Degree qualified
BA/BSc in engineering, business management, accounting, or similar
Work experience in a project delivery environment
Relevant project management accreditations
Essential Skills
Excellent capability in the use of Excel
Competence in the Microsoft Office Suite of products (Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
Knowledge of MS Project
Preferred Qualifications
Skills in Power BI reporting
Knowledge of the UK Rail Sector
