Job Description

What will a day in this role look like?

  • Producing technical designs and specifications.

  • Coordinating effectively with other disciplines

  • Liaising with and reviewing technical submissions by contractors and sub-contractors against specified requirements.

  • Creation of work plans and task definitions.

  • Attending site meetings as appropriate, reporting on the status of the work and any items of concern.

  • Applying innovative new techniques or actions to get things done by actively encouraging creative ideas of others and championing new ideas to higher-level management.

  • Consistently communicating difficult or complex ideas clearly and effectively, with a wide variety of senior, technical, business and management audiences, both inside and outside of AECOM.

  • Teaching and coaching more junior engineers

Qualifications

What are we looking for from you?

  • 5+ years professional experience ideally within a design consultancy

  • Appropriate tertiary qualification

  • Demonstrated experience in communications engineering

  • Electronic Access Control, CCTV and Structured Cabling Systems and integration/installation experience

  • Specialist certifications, such as RCDD, PRINCE2, CCNA and hold a current COA Security Licence

  • Preferably Chartered or a professional member of relevant professional body
