Job Summary

AECOM is actively seeking a creative, highly talented Program Project Scheduler/Planning Analyst for immediate employment in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidate will be part of the PPM Project Controls Services Group supporting one of our largest K-12 education programs in the region. This position may also provide support to various Project Control Managers and staff mainly with scheduling and risk related tasks, and cost estimation on an as needed basis.

Job Description:

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to

  • Develop and generate master program schedules.

  • Review and analyze monthly schedule Updates and Baselines (resource loaded if required) using the CPM method in Primavera P6.

  • Provide schedule layouts and filters of schedules as requested by the project PM and Owner.

  • Identify schedule issues, opportunities and corrective actions to mitigate potential delays to projects

  • Represent company and/or project in meetings with owner, A/E representatives and other contractors as required.

  • Be capable of explaining schedule and positions in a formal meeting, presentation, or negotiation

Minimum Requirements

  • Experienced in K-12 programs or projects in the pre-con and construction phases.

  • Bachelor’ degree in engineering, architecture, or construction

  • 4+ years of experience of progressive Construction Project Management experience, which includes scheduling

  • Must have an understanding of construction means, methods, and sequences

  • Ability to use Primavera P6 scheduling software

  • Experience with construction schedules for the design-build phase of the projects

  • Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling knowledge/experience and the ability to analyze schedules to determine duration and logic issues

  • Prior field project engineering experience in transportation, building, or energy projects

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience of progressive Construction Project Management experience, which includes scheduling

  • Familiarity with Design Build contracts

  • Experience in reviewing and developing Time Impact Analysis

  • Prior experience in Federal building projects

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office Products Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates via industry accepted methods such as RS Means for small and large projects. Estimates shall be provided in UNIFORMAT II and CSI format

  • Ability to concentrate in one or more of the estimating disciplines, including architecture, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, civil and structural

  • Performs cost comparison analyses between in-house estimates and contractor estimates

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and ability to read and interpret contract requirements and to read engineering drawings

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing

  • Prior field project engineering experience in transportation, building, or energy projects

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
