AECOM Mechanical HVAC Engineer in Atlanta, Georgia

AECOM is hiring a Mechanical HVAC Engineer for our Buildings + Places practice in the Atlanta, GA office to assist the Mechanical Engineering group with design work and fieldwork on varied building types. The individual will be responsible for sizing ducts, performing HVAC calculations, and performing field surveys of existing conditions. This position also requires the candidate to be able to interact with clients, contractors, and architects.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, those listed below:
Performing mechanical design of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
Performing engineering-related calculations and develop drawings.
Willing and able to survey and evaluate existing conditions in order to formulate a fully coordinated scope of work within code-compliant mechanical designs.
Working under the supervision of a project manager or senior-level team member

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline and two (2) years of related experience, which includes experience and skills in mechanical systems design for buildings.
AutoCAD and Revit experience.
Experience in building HVAC design for buildings
Good interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
A registered engineer in training or professional engineer (PE)
Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently
Good interpersonal, organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to bring energy and enthusiasm to the office

Willingness to travel at project kickoff or during construction administration to create punch lists.
