AECOM ITS & Emerging Technologies Program Director in Atlanta, Georgia

The ITS/Traffic Department is seeking a creative, self-driven, highly talented ITS Program Director based in Atlanta, GA.
As ITS Program Director you will manage and build the ITS group within the ITS/Traffic Department. Responsibilities will include development and management of ITS projects, including ITS planning, Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSM&O), ITS design, ITS communications, Connected and Automated Vehicles applications, and Emerging Technologies. You will lead and grow the ITS practice in Georgia and will support regional and national ITS programs and opportunities. Perform various management, leadership, and people accountability responsibilities for the ITS group within the ITS/Traffic Department. ITS Group includes engineers, data scientists, programmers, IT specialists, and technicians.
Full responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing, and coordinating technical assignments of the ITS group within the ITS/Traffic Department.
Develop business opportunities by networking with clients and within the industry to establish relationships and sell AECOM services.
Support and leverage new business opportunities externally and through other ITS/Traffic Program Directors and their clients.
Lead, develop, and implement strategic ITS and emerging technologies marketing plans and tactics.
Lead proposal development opportunities, including go/no-go decisions, determining teaming partners, scoping tasks, preparing estimates, and managing proposal development team.
Support regional and National marketing and business development activities.
Serve as a Project Manager and become an AECOM Certified Project Manager within 6 months.
Manage client expectations to ensure client is highly satisfied with projects.
Mentor/train junior and mid-level staff.
Periodic travel required within Georgia and neighboring states.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Reports to ITS/Traffic Department Manager.

BS Civil Engineer or related field
Eight (8) years ITS technical and management leadership
GDOT transportation project management experience
Professional Engineer License
Twelve (12) years of transportation and ITS technical and management leadership experience
ITS market pursuit strategy experience
