Job Description

AECOM is looking for a Construction Surveillance Technician to work as the Security Escort for a “Restricted Area” within Fort Moore in Georgia, to guard personnel and vehicle entry gates. Primarily responsible to escort un-cleared individuals/visitors that do not have the appropriate security clearances and / or access authorization into designated buildings and property and monitor their movements while in the secure areas.

  • Follow all company personnel, safety policies, and perform all assigned duties in a safe work manner.

  • Interact professionally with the customer, employees, VIPs, and the general public.

  • Apply knowledge, training, and expertise to safeguards and security policies and procedures, you will assess operations, interpret policies.

  • Review and understand the requirement of the site-specific Construction Security Plan.

  • Performs all other job-related duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • HS + 6 Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.

  • Due to the nature of this work, US Citizenship is required.

  • Applicant must possess and maintain a secret security clearance.

  • In order to receive a security badge at the client worksite for which you are being hired to perform services, you will be required to pass the client's background, medical and drug screening requirements, which will be done after you have commenced employment and is a condition of your continued employment.

  • Must pass a State and Federal criminal history/security background checks. Projects/clients are security sensitive.

  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen.

  • Must comply with all company policies, procedures and adhere to company standards.

  • Physically able, with or without an accommodation, to work in indoor and outdoor environments.

  • Frequently climb stairs and work across a variety of uneven terrains such as construction dirt sites, areas with gravel, paved sidewalks, etc.

  • Occasional bending and stooping may be required.

  • Work in variable outdoor conditions including dust and noise.

  • Work in environment with heavy, moving, dangerous construction equipment.

  • Able to work outdoors in variable climate conditions including heat, snow, cold, wind, etc.

  • Frequent keyboard/mouse operations to write daily and monthly reports, complete timesheets, comply with online trainings, etc.

  • Position will include wearing associated personal protective equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses/goggles, safety vest, safety shoes/boots, and hard hat.

  • Working hours may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $36.63/hour - $46.00/hour.
