Job Description

AECOM has an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Consultant, Infrastructure Economics. We are seeking a self-motivated, and seasoned economist to join a well-established, but growing group that provides economic research and findings for some of the most interesting infrastructure-related economic questions. Our clients are typically private sector and governmental entities who bring to us infrastructure economic projects that help them view their current or future infrastructure needs. Our client's solutions often start with our research results. Remote work is an option available in the US. The position has a remote work location option.

Some of the responsibilities include:

  • Team leader for client projects including staff project assignments and professional guidance

  • Day-to-day client interaction

  • Provide solutions to client questions that are developed from a foundation of understanding or analysis of client business practices and goals

  • Ensure project goals and deadlines are met

  • Ensure the highest level of economic research is conducted through defining scope of work, developing qualification statements, and developing project strategy plans

  • Client development and marketing/sales

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, civil infrastructure engineering, or related field

  • 8 plus years of experience in economic infrastructure research such as transportation or water or similar industry

  • Must be able to perform economic projects independently and lead tasks

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree in economics, business, civil infrastructure engineering, or related field

  • Experience with MS ACCESS and econometric programs such as SPSS, Limdep, logit, and EVIEWS

  • Experience applying economic assessment models

  • Experience with use of GIS software and datasets

  • Experience in writing economic reports essential

  • Business development and sales/marketing experience including pursuit of strategy development, bid preparation, and coordination

  • Technical experience in one or more economic/infrastructure market analysis areas and ability to manage small to mid-size projects

  • Excellent oral communication and organizational skills

  • 10 plus years of experience in economic infrastructure research such as transportation or water or similar industry

  • Experience in applied econometrics or advanced forecasting

  • Excellent data management and quantitative skills

  • Proficient in Excel

  • Experience providing quality and providing objective analysis and attention to detail

  • Ability to interact with clients on a regular basis

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $105,000.00 - $165,000.00.
