Job Description

AECOM is currently seeking a Master Scheduler to join our Program and Project Management team in our Arlington, VA office. We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Master Scheduler to join our team. This role involves developing, maintaining, and managing the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for a large transit authority’s capital program. The IMS includes hundreds of projects and involves coordination with a multitude Project Managers. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be technically competent in Primavera P6, and have the ability to manage and convey complex scheduling information effectively.

This person will be responsible fore but not limited to the following:

  • Develop, generate, and maintain Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) using Primavera P6 including activities, milestones, WBS, activity codes, and user defined fields.

  • Work effectively within a team, coordinating efforts, and dividing tasks to ensure on-time delivery of an IMS .

  • Gather and compile information from 50+ stakeholders . Proactively coordinate with Project Managers, including scheduling meetings, sending reminders, and escalating issues when necessary.

  • Develop Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports and dashboards using Power BI to track and report on schedule performance.

  • Perform reviews of monthly schedule updates. Assess schedule logic and forecasts for reasonability, identifying and correcting any inconsistencies.

  • Identify potential issues, such as inadequate schedule contingency.

  • Identify and thoroughly investigate any variances in project schedules, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting. Develop and maintain multiple baselines including from the project charter.

  • Develop PowerPoint presentations with graphics and data visualizations .

  • Clearly explain scheduling positions and issues in formal meetings and/or presentations, ensuring all stakeholders are well-informed.

  • Utilize schedule layouts and filters to develop custom reports.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS + 4 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Experience with Excel

  • Experience with Primavera P6

  • Experience with planning and scheduling

  • Experience in construction and engineering field

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience in construction / engineer field, especially the rail and transportation sectors

  • Understanding of the project lifecycle (planning, engineering, procurement, construction) to ensure project timelines are realistic and achievable

  • Understanding of various delivery methods, including design-bid-build, design-build, and contract types such as fixed price, and time & materials

  • Understanding of construction means, methods, and sequences

  • Knowledge of change management processes and earned value methodologies

  • Experience with Power BI, PowerPoint, Visio, and Microsoft Project

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $90,000.00 - $130,000.00.
