Job Description

AECOM is looking for experienced FEMA Housing Inspection Managers to support the development of impactful and effective Individual Assistance inspection services on Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) contracts. The purpose of this service offering is to help CONUS and OCONUS communities successfully navigate their post-disaster steps to attain critical Individual Assistance funds in their time of need.

Position Description:  The FEMA Housing Inspection Manager will be embedded within the AECOM Capture Team and Delivery PMO to impart their knowledge of best practices and lessons learned for program delivery that may include the following:

  • Provide recommendations on the delivery model

  • Provide best practices and lessons learned

  • Advise the further refinement of the team's operational design

  • Serve as an internal and external expert on customer service-focused housing inspections

If selected the role would initially be a part-time, casual position, in an on-call format, and could become full-time upon contract award.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Due to the nature of the work, must be a US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain DHS Public Trust clearance.

  • HS + 10 Years or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Experience with general Microsoft Office software and use of FEMA provided mobile suite of products, including ACE.

  • Must be able to commit to travel assignments for several weeks of post-disaster service delivery.

  • Must have a valid driver’s license, as a condition of employment pass AECOM's motor vehicle records review.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior FEMA IA and/or CDBG-DR or other similar housing inspection experience.

  • Current DHS Public Trust clearance/badge in support of housing inspection services.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail, including experience and comfort with procurement related interviews.

  • Experience providing excellent customer service.

  • Strong observational, decision making, analytical, critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Flexible work style with the ability to immediately adapt to changing priorities.

  • Able to work independently, in a team environment and under stressful conditions with tight deadlines and able to handle tense situations diplomatically.

  • Demonstrated behavior of flexibility, adaptability, professionalism.

Additional Information

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $100,000.00 - $150,000.00.
