Job Summary

AECOM has a full-time opening for a Communications Manager contingent upon award of a contract. This position will provide support to the Corporate Communications Team for the Code 103 Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division located at Dahlgren, VA. The incumbent will be working Full Time at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division located at Dahlgren, VA.

The ideal candidate will have proven ability to support employee communication programs and products, media relations programs, community relations, special events, and provide photography support. Newport Enterprise Realtime Development Server (NERDS), Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium, Microsoft Office Professional, AVS Video Converter, and Snagit10 screen capture software.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications field, public relations, or marketing

  • 4 years of related experience

  • 10 years of related experience in the field for public relations, public affairs or journalism related with experience in research, conducting interviews, writing, editing, and obtaining release/approval for articles, feature stories, news releases, and statements, including electronic, web based, and hard copy material will be accepted in lieu of Bachelors Degree

  • Proven ability to support employee communication programs and products, media relations programs, community relations, special events, and provide photography support.

  • Newport Enterprise Realtime Development Server (NERDS), Adobe Creative Suite 6 Production Premium, Microsoft Office Professional, AVS Video Converter, and Snagit10 screen capture software

  • Previous or Active Secret Clearance Required
