Are you a skilled Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) Engineer looking for an opportunity to work on high-impact projects? AECOM is seeking a TAB Engineer to join our Program and Project Management team in Arlington, VA . In this onsite role , you’ll play a key part in ensuring HVAC systems perform at peak efficiency across all project phases— from design and construction to post-occupancy .

What You’ll Do:
Support all project phases , including design, construction, and post-occupancy , ensuring compliance with performance requirements.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams , including owners, design professionals, commissioning agents, and construction managers .
Contribute to the development of TAB and Commissioning Specifications and Requirements to optimize HVAC performance.
Perform field inspections to assess HVAC installations, construction schedules, and integration with other systems (electrical, mechanical, building automation, etc.).
Conduct TAB field testing using AABC/NEBB procedures to evaluate system performance.
Analyze test data and system performance for compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
Identify and communicate deficiencies , providing recommendations for improvements.
Lead and mentor junior engineers while ensuring best practices in system commissioning and testing.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
AABC/NEBB Certification as Engineer or Professional
Preferred Requirements | What We’re Looking For:
Someone with proven experience in Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing (TAB) engineering .
Someone with strong knowledge of HVAC systems, commissioning processes, and industry standards .
Experience working with construction teams, facility managers, and automation contractors .
Ability to review contract documents , assess schedules, and provide technical recommendations.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
AABC/NEBB certification
Commissioning Certification
PE License

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $96,000.00 - $153,000.00.
