The Adelaide Infrastructure team has a strong workload across various markets including Defence, transport and traffic, mining, power, water and industrial. The projects are often multi-discipline and require civil design including roads, bulk earthworks, stormwater, water, wastewater.
As a Technical Officer / Senior Technical Officer, you will be given the opportunity to contribute and lead the civil documentation and design of projects.
You will ensure that you produce designs and documentation to a high level of quality through an attention to detail as well as focus on overarching project objectives.
You will be willing to embrace and develop your skills to incorporate the use of digital engineering on projects.
To be successful in the role you will ideally have the following:
Technical skills and broad background in general civil design including roads, water, wastewater, stormwater and/or earthworks grading across a range of markets.
Strong skills in AutoCAD and 12d to produce high quality documentation and 3D engineering models.
Knowledge in relevant standards, such as; Australian Standards, Austroads, ARRB. Local standards such as DPTI and SA Water would be advantageous.
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and coordinate the integration of civil drawings and designs with other disciplines including buildings, lighting, structures etc.
Understanding in programs such as; Bentley Projectwise, Microsoft Excel, Autodesk Navisworks, ArcGIS Arcmap would be advantageous.
Minimum Requirements include:
3-10 years’ experience in a civil design drafting role
Experience working in a consultancy and local knowledge preferable.
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or approved equivalent.
