Job Description
The Transportation Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a Construction Inspector with highway-bridge experience for several upcoming projects in Sussex, Kent and New Castle Counties in Delaware. This includes the North Millsboro Bypass, but will not be limited to the North Millsboro Bypass. The qualified Project Inspectors will provide inspection support services to project locations across Delaware.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Supervising daily activities and assignments of inspection staff
Conduct Progress Meeting with Contractor
Ability to write and review contract change orders
A working knowledge and ability to review a CPM Schedule
Oversees and Perform field inspections to monitor road conditions, bridges, road construction, and traffic, and material using in road construction and repair
Reviews construction, maintenance, or traffic projects for compliance with project specifications and plans
Ability to read and understand construction drawings and the knowledge to be able to conduct constructability reviews
Monitors contract performance and project status for major construction and maintenance projects
Maintains records and prepares reports pertaining to public works installations and projects
Compile quantities and reviews construction reports and other data
Candidates will need to travel to project sites through Sussex, Kent and New Castle Counties
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
Highschool Diploma or GED and 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
Highway & Bridge experience
Valid US Driver’s License required to regularly drive AECOM vehicles to project sites
As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review
Preferred Qualifications

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $30.00/hour - $40.00/hour.
